With the success of the Australian personal trainer’s Bikini Body Guide 1.0 and 2.0, she decided to release an app to follow up on the success of her PDF guides. Following the trend of celebrities like the Kardashians, Kayla Itsines app was released to the world in late 2015. Kayla named her fitness app as ‘Sweat With Kayla‘.

Is Sweat With Kayla Worth It?

Women from all over downloaded the new application in hopes of changing their lives and bodies. Sweat with Kayla is not free and comes with a subscription service of $19.99 per month. A minimum subscription of 12 weeks is required to make use of her app.

There is an option of signing up for a 7 day trial, but three months subscription fees will be deducted immediately. If after the 12 weeks you decide you didn’t enjoy the app, the money will not be reimbursed. It does seem however that a lot of ladies did not get their money back after deciding not continue with the Sweat with Kayla app.

Sweat With Kayla App Features

The app has many features that change according to the week you are on. Each week comes with different resistance exercises, depending on where you are in the program. So keeping track of where you are is easy.

Kayla Itsines made sure the app was designed beautifully and extremely user friendly. It’s easy to use and navigate, and makes choosing your exercises a breeze.;

  • Included in the app are daily menus and grocery lists which help make healthy choices a lot easier. The food guide however is the same as her PDF H.E.L.P that she released.
  • There is also an option to store before, during and after photos.
  • New updates and workouts are added which means no running out of exercises to do. There is a rehabilitation section which times your stretches, making it easier on you to relax after a hard workout or on your day off.
  • The Bikini Guide 3.0 is also a new feature to the Kayla Itsines workouts. So after you have worked your through the first and second guides the third awaits. Although the exercises are similar to the first two, just mixed up in different orders. Nothing new, just the same workouts switched around.

If you haven’t purchased any of Kayla Itsines PDF guides you will most definitely enjoy the app. The content will be new and you get to try out the 3.0 version of the Bikini Body Guide. Everything is done for you in the app. All three guides as well as the healthy eating aid can go with you wherever you go.

However if you have already purchased the previous guides, the Sweat with Kayla app will bring nothing new to the table. The only added addition will be version 3.0 of the Bikini Body Guide, which is the same exercises just mixed up in a different order.

Paying a monthly subscription fee for something that you may already have seems counterproductive. When you have already purchased the guides in PDF form you have it for life, and when you cancel your subscription you will lose all the guides.

So in the long run it will be cheaper to invest in the Kayla Itsines ebooks then pay an ongoing fee every month, which will just get taken away if you decide to take a different exercise route. The app seems to have gotten mixed reviews, and I think it all has to do with the type of person that you.

The app is by no means a bad idea unless you have the Bikini Body Guide and H.E.L.P. versions already. Who knows though, perhaps in a month or two Kayla will add new updates that brings a breath of fresh air to her app. If you think it will be easier to track everything on an app then it’s definitely for you.

The only drawback is that you will pay more in the long run, where if you bought the guides it’s a once off payment of something you get to keep with you forever. But with all the young millennials coming of age, they surely will choose the app over guides. And all of us old school ladies will opt for the reading version of the life changing Kayla Itsines workouts.
