How to get a sexy butt? This is the question every woman wants to know and for good reason. As you age, one day you suddenly realize that the little things we took for granted now seem to require a lot more effort to maintain.

Key areas linked with beauty such as smooth skin, shapely arms and a firm butt are the most noticeable and unfortunately troublesome. But don’t worry, all is not lost. You just need a little effort, know how and some motivation to keep your body fine tuned and in tip-top shape.

This article focuses solely on the buttocks and it definitely deserves its own write up.

So what can you do besides doing exercises that target your butt?

Most health experts and your average girl next door are in full agreement here that the rear end is certainly a problem area which tends to need a bit more focus especially as we age.

Let’s take a look at diet first:

You will want to reduce the “bad stuff” and increase what your body actually needs to perform its magic. That means limiting sugars, sweeteners and processed foods especially those that have a high salt content. You need to consume more fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

Make sure all your meals have enough protein. Try varying the source of protein between beans, eggs, chicken, fish and beef. It is especially important to get some protein intake ASAP after you finish a work out. This can be accomplished with a protein shake if your working out during your lunch hour. Make sure you are getting enough water too. You will want to drink a couple of liters each day! Lastly, if the protein portion of your meals are not coming from fish very often you might want to consider fish oil supplements of some kind to make sure your body is getting what it requires.

  1. Deadlifts are a core muscle group exercise that works the lower back but surprising helps your derriere and upper thighs as well. You need a few cores in your routine to work associated and stabilizer muscle groups.
  2. Squats are the go to exercise for most butt firming programs and with good reason. It is another core muscle group exercise and does a fantastic job at rounding out and tightening up the target areas.
  3. Lunges are a good all round exercise for your legs and butt. You can opt to do this one with dumbbells and increase the weight as you progress.
  4. Donkey Kicks / Reverse leg raises are another favourite as it really keys in on the upper thighs and your backside.
  5. Lastly, Hip Thrusts are used in isolated muscle training to round out your routine.

Some other options you could consider are Leg Presses, Upper Quad machines or even Yoga which many women swear by for achieving their desired look.

How To Showcase Your Fit, Round Butt?

On off muscle training days you are going to want to consider doing some form of Cardio exercise to burn away any excess fat and showcase your fit, round butt. You only really need to do 1 for a half hour or so every other day but I am happy to provide you with a list of choices;

If you’re really serious about this try Boxing or Kick Boxing. It is quite difficult at first but if you can stick with it you will notice results quite quickly.

Rowing is another full body routine but it is easier to manage. However, you will still need to join a club or gym to reap the benefits.

Cardio (that really gets the job done) which you can do for free is Stair Climbing/ Step Ups or Skipping. Both of these are hard work and really challenge your butt muscles and legs not to mention your endurance.

Lastly, you could always rotate in some Walking or even Jogging to boost your heart rate. As always, the choice is yours but try to include variety in your routines as well as picking exercises you really enjoy. That way, you are likely to stick with it in the long run!

Also, make sure you get lots of sleep as your body will need it. Results won’t happen overnight but if you stick with it and put in the time you will notice a difference sooner than you think.
