Hola amigos. I’m Barbara. I’m a 37 year old woman from Southern California who is now a stay-at-home mom and I love Tacos :). I am a former athletic trainer and physical education teacher with a degree in exercise physiology. I regard myself as the luckiest person on Earth.
I didn’t win the lottery or Powerball jackpot, I don’t drive a fancy car, and I’m not famous. What I do have is a loving husband, one amazing daughter, a loving family, wonderful friends, and being able to live in a tropical island called Bali. Expat life in Bali, what else can be better? : )
I have been an “athlete” all my life before getting married. Weight was never an issue for me. I am all about sports growing up and really admired my two older brothers who were always participating in sports. I ended up getting an athletic scholarship and played four years of college water polo. After graduating with a degree in exercise physiology, I became a physical education teacher.
My weight has never been an issue in my life until I got married. I quit my job and became a full-time wife after getting married. Long gone were the days of being active or working out, and I struggled with poor eating habits. I started to pack on the pounds and it got worst after giving birth to my daughter.
Like many women, I found it hard to shed post-pregnancy pounds after leaving my physically active jobs. And like many other women, I found myself frustrated by many of the weight loss schemes being marketed today. I bought and tried many bikini body workouts and bikini body diets, only to realize that almost all of them are either not really effective or just downright useless. It took me awhile and a substantial amount of money before I finally found something that works and was able to transform my body.
So Why the Bikini Body Guide Blog?
My weight loss journey (and getting a Bikini Body again) have ignited my passion for life and sparks a razor sharp focus not easy for me to find elsewhere. I consider this experience and journey to not even be about me, but to be about the lives I can inspire with my own transformation. The inspiration works both ways.
Now I feel even more strongly about healthy and effective workout regimes, because my own daughter is reaching “body conscious” ages. With all this in mind, I want to provide unbiased reviews of the weight loss programs or bikini body workout programs being marketed today.
I want to be as neutral and unbiased as possible so I will only share and review a bikini body workout or bikini body guide that I have personally experienced. I hope that my reviews will help you to achieve your ideal bikini body faster and save you from wasting money (and frustrations) on bikini workout programs that are not effective.
I also want to inspire you and share my story on how I lost 50 lbs within 6 months and got my ideal bikini body. I’m not trying to show off my success – that’s definitely not my purpose. If you’re trying to get a bikini body, I hope that my experiences can help you reach your goals.
