Staying in shape doesn’t have to be hard. There are quite a few things you can do that will help keep you in a ‘bikini body shape.’
Most of us think it’s difficult to get in shape and stay that way. But with a little motivation and a lot of discipline, it’s definitely doable!
Besides doing Kayla’s BBG exercises to flaunt your body in a bikini, you should be doing the following 7 things to be ready for the beach;
1) Try Something New
I know I can get stuck in one bikini workout because I really enjoy it. But eventually that sparkle wears off and boredom slowly but surely begins to set in.
Trying out something new can be scary but what if you’re missing out on a really fun workout? I’m sure there’s a class or machine you’ve been eyeing for quite a while, but fear and your comfort zone is keeping you behind.
Why don’t you ask one of the gym staff to help you, or book that class and go in early and ask the trainer all your questions.
And if you don’t gym try out a new home workout or watch a new video on Youtube. You might just find that you really love yoga!
Mixing things up will keep you interested and help you to continue your workouts. You’ll be packing your gym bag or rolling out your yoga mat with a smile on your face!
2) Diet Diet Diet
Without a proper nutrition, you won’t be able to stay in shape. There are so many healthy eating plans out there. It’s just a matter of finding one that works for you and sticking with it. For you to keep in shape you have to think of it as a marathon and not a sprint. It’s a lifestyle, not a diet!
3) Jump Rope
Jumping rope is a cardiovascular workout for the entire body. By bringing out the kid you in you, you will be improving your coordination, strengthening your bones and also your muscles. Fifteen minutes of jump rope burns up to 200 calories depending on your weight.
The great thing about a jump rope is that you can take it with you anywhere you go. Weekends away, holidays and even when you’re working away and can’t get to the gym. It’s a perfect way to stay in shape on the go!
4) Team Sport
What sport did you enjoy as a child? Or is there any sport you’ve always wanted to try? Why not find a local league close to you and join a team.
It will help keep you motivated because you’ll have teammates waiting on you when there’s practice. Not only is it a good workout but you’ll definitely make friends too. It won’t feel like exercise but more like a get together of people who enjoy the same sport.
If there aren’t any teams near you, try organizing with your friends or family to get together for a friendly soccer match. I’m sure a few of them will really enjoy it. And you’ll have so much fun that all the laughing will burn even more calories than you anticipated.
Walking an hour each day has so many health benefits and all you need is pair of good walking shoes. It gets you outside into the fresh air and you might even discover a beautiful park you never knew of.
The best part of walking is, is you can do it alone or with someone. Walking clears your head and elevates your mood. It’s definitely something you can do daily to stay in shape.
6) Have Fun!
The most important thing about staying in shape is to have fun. With a positive mindset and good attitude, you will continue to stay in shape and get even fitter.
You just have to find things that you enjoy. Sometimes it takes trial and error. Your best friend might love spinning but you feel like you’re going to die 10 minutes in. Ask her to try something with you next time.
Go for a nature walk, or a stroll along the beach. Eat healthy foods that you enjoy or search for healthy alternatives online.
