My 5 Favorite Beauty & Health Tips

All of us have our beauty routines, but I’m sure there are a few more things you can add that will make it even better!

We all know women get judged on our appearances before they even look at our resumes. But that doesn’t mean we can’t look the part and be a boss at work too!

Besides working out frequently with Kayla Itsines app, there are many things you can do for your skin!

Here are my 5 favorite beauty tips;

1) Sunscreen Daily

Wear it every single day, come rain or shine. When it’s cloudy almost 80% of the sun’s ultraviolet rays shine right through those clouds. Your skin will thank you for it. Especially one day when you’re older.

The sunscreen will protect your skin from burning, it will help keep wrinkles at bay for longer, and it will prevent skin cancer. So slather on the sunscreen before you leave your home every day. Thank goodness it smells so good!

2. Hey Ho H20

Drinking enough water every day will help keep your organs lubricated and your body functioning properly. Not to mention what it does for your skin and hair. We can’t perform when our bodies are dehydrated.

Being 70% water it’s natural to think that the body needs enough H20 to run properly, just like a machine that needs to be oiled.

If you struggle to drink your 2 liters a day, try drinking herbal teas without milk or sugar. Even sparkling water is a good substitute. Just make sure to drink enough each and every day. Your body will thank you for it!

3) Soft Skin

Whenever you get out of the bath, shower, pool or ocean apply body lotion. The water actually washes away all the skin’s natural oil. So applying a good body butter will help prevent your skin from going dry or chapping. Make this a habit every time you emerge from

4) Hair Care

With a good healthy diet and lifestyle, your hair will flourish. Eating lean protein and drinking lots of water (as mentioned above) will help your hair grow out strong and full.

Don’t use harsh treatments and products on your hair. It will ruin the growth and weigh your hair down in the long run. Use natural products instead, like coconut oil for dry hair.

Also find a shampoo and conditioner that works with your hair type. Have a look around and see what has good reviews then try it out for a while.

If it isn’t giving you the results you want, it’s time to find a new brand. Don’t be afraid to mix shampoo and conditioner brands. This is how I found my perfect combo, although it took a lot of trial and error.

Don’t comb your wet hair, it will break the strands and cause damage. Allow your hair to dry naturally, this is especially great in the summer time.

Taking care of your hair is an inside as much as outside job. Find what works for you, and let your hair loose!

5) Beauty Sleep

We all need our beauty sleep, otherwise we’re like tall two-year-olds throwing a tantrum. Getting sufficient sleep is very important in helping your body stay healthy. If we don’t get enough rest our minds aren’t sharp and we develop dark circles under our eyes.

Make sure to get 6-8 hours of sleep every night. It will help you wake up refreshed and you won’t look tired and have people ask you all day if you’re okay!
